I love searching for the Best Cheeseburger in the World. But sometimes that quest takes a turn into a pizza parlor.
And one of my favorites is Main Street Pizza in El Dorado. That’s where my son and I went recently for his birthday. It’s one of his favorite places too.
They cook their pizzas in a brick oven, and they have a really good flavor. Also, they use excellent toppings. So the pizzas have a really good flavor.
But probably what we like best is that we can each get the exact pizza that we want. I like supreme, and my son just likes pepperoni.
At most pizza places, it’s hard to make that happen. Ordering a pizza that’s half of each of our favorites never seems to come out quite right. And a personal pan is ok, but you have to get the thick crust.
At Main Street Pizza, they have a small pizza, with a thin crust that’s been baked just right. The pizza is just the right size for each of us, and each has the same taste as either a medium or a large – so you don’t lose any toppings and don’t lose any flavors.
And as a parent there is one more great thing – the price. The price of each small is very reasonable. And the two of us can eat there cheaper than most chains. And we like the food better.
So if you find yourself hungry for pizza in El Dorado, I would recommend you try Main Street Pizza. I think you’ll like it.
What’s one of your favorite pizza places? I’m always looking for a really good place to eat!
Sounds really good! I’ll have to go there next time I’m in El Dorado! I thought of another really good place to try, if you haven’t been. They don’t serve pizza, but it’s really delicious and pretty affordable. There’s a place called the A-1 Pawn Shop right outside Smackover. http://el-dorado.gopickle.com/listings/10517203-A-1-Pawn-Inc. It looks really run down on the outside with a lot of rusty farm equipment and stuff, and when I went there the first time, I was thinking, “Do I really want to eat food that is cooked here?” But when you come inside, it’s a very well kept, almost malt shop looking, place. They specialize in every type of seasoning in the store portion and then in the restaurant area, they’ve got good service and some really good food. Their signature sandwich is called The Spider. It’s grilled sourdough bread with tomatoes, lettuce, a special mayo concoction (I usually hate mayo but this was very unique), and then it’s good some really, really good bacon strips that stick out on the side and resemble spider legs. If you’ve got the time, it’s a good place to check out!
That sounds really good. I love little places like that. I will definitely check it out. Thanks!
If you ever make it to Atlanta, my spot is Blue Moon Pizza: http://www.bluemoonpizza.com/
I was there just last spring, and that was one of the places I heard I should try. But unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it. But I definitely will next time!
In Little Rock, Iriana’s (downtown) or NYPD pizza in West Little Rock on Highway 10. Their calzones are great! Other than that, Greg’s homemade. We choose our own toppings.
